W.C.A.R.C. Introduction

The Webster County Amateur Radio Club was created in 1995 and is operating under the premiss that the hobby we call HAM radio is one that should be shared. Amateur radio has been around for some time now and continues to grow both in technology and interests. Hams come from all walks of life, doctors, homemakers and even the very young, from age ranges as different as the interests. It has always promoted the highest standard of character, Honesty and Morality, speaking evil of no-one and building on fellowships that last a lifetime.

HAMS are involved in everything from aid in times of disaster to toys for children, providing communications for a parade to introducing Morse Code to Boy Scouts. Involvement in the community is an important goal for amateurs. Amateur Radio is a great hobby and instills in us those values that bring out the best in we humans. Hams are always on the lookout for anyone they can Elmer ( Teach ) the skill necessary to get an Amateur License which allows operation of an amateur station.
