My name is Mark, and I hold a technicians class license, but I'm working hard on the upgrade to general class.I have built my own antennas for 2 meters, and 70 cm, I'm very active on 2 meter SSB.
My Dad was an amateur radio operator and now a silent key, so I thought it would honor him by getting my license.
His call was K9UIF and I applied for it a few months ago and was awarded the call sign.
My QTH is Hobart, Indiana where the city has restrictive laws on heights of our towers, these laws need to be changed to accommodate Amateur Radio Service as Part 97.15 and PRB-1 of the Federal Communications Commission Act.
I have a 40 ft Rohn 25 G that supports my quad array for 2 meters, and in the middle of them is a home built 70 cm beam.
I'm a member of the Porter County Amateur Radio Club, and the American Radio Relay League.

Here's a photo of my tower and stacked array for 2 meter SSB
The middle of the array on top is the 70 cm yagi I built, this was a lot of fun, and a real learning experience for me.
