Want to catch me on the air? Well, the job schedule doesn't leave as much time for radio work these days, but there are a few weekend nets that I try to check into on a regular basis. They include:
The Midwest Classic Radio net, hosted by Rob, WA9ZTY. Each Saturday morning on 3885 khz AM, at 7:30 Central time.
The Hallicrafters Collectors Association nets. Saturday at roughly noon Central time on 7280 khz and again Sunday afternoon, approximately half past noon on 14293 khz.
The Central Illinois Net, one of the oldest 160 meter nets still in operation. Began in 1934 and has been going ever since, except for the blackout period of WWII. Every Sunday morning on 1815 khz AM, at 8:15 Central time.
Other than the above, if I find time during weekday evenings to warm up the firebottles, it will probably be on or around the Boatanchor CW frequency of 3579.5 khz. If you hear any of these fine operators signing /BA or calling CQ BA, you are listening to a user of vintage gear!
