Antenna Comparisons using Gain-Probability
Gain-Probabilty is a new way of comparing antenna performances. G-P determines which antenna will be successful for your choice of DX path based on propagation probabilities and antenna simulation. It is a technique that combines an easy to use antenna simulator such as EZNEC with published propagation elevation data. The results are antenna comparisons in terms of probability of success over any given DX path. For example, G-P will calculate the probable antenna gain comparison for a path from Chicago, Illinois to South Africa on 80. Two antennas can be compared for that path. The path can then be changed to one from Chicago to Europe on 20 meters. Or from Fiji to the United States on 17 meters.
G-P can determine which antenna has the best probability of successful contacts into Europe or 5 other DX locations throughout the world from YOUR QTH.
