About Mr. Austin

Well, in case you haven't been able to figure out yet, my name is Austin.  I turned 29 years old on July 31st, 2000.  So I guess that means that I am a young pup in some of your eyes, and an old fogey in others.  For those that look at me as a young pup... "No matter how old you get, I will always be younger than you!"  As for those of you that think I am an old fogey... "Respect your elders!"
So you want to know about me eh?  Okay let's see...
At approximately 4:00am, on July 31st, 2000 in a small Missouri town called Bethany, I was born to my parents.  At the time, my father was serving in Vietnam.  My mother, a teacher, was home staying with her parents (my maternal grandparents).  A couple of months later, my father, a lawyer, ended his tour with the Army and returned.  In November, 1971 we moved to my hometown of Moberly, MO.   My father opened a Law Firm Practice, and my mother proceeded to raise my little brother and me.  Later my mother returned to the Teaching Profession. There in Moberly, I grew up and remained until I moved off to College.  After returning from College, I stuck around my hometown and ended up meeting my future wife.  We got married and the rest is history I guess you can say.
Boy, I guess I let that cat out of the bag.  Sorry all you single ladies.   I have been married for almost 9 years now.  Got married February 21st, 1992 to the love of my life.  I am very proud to say that we are still very much in love.  She is my bestest of best friends.  I am nobody without her by my side.  Donna, yes that is her name, has brought my three very active and cute boys.  Kevin Allen (8), Nicholas Clayton (5), and Benjamin Neal (3) are my boys.  They are responsible for bringing the joy and barrels of laughs to our lives.  Check out the Family Section to learn more about my wonderful family life.
As for the professional arena, I can sum it up best as saying that I am a Professional Geek.  Some people are just geeks by nature.  I get paid to be as geeky as possible.  So needless to say that this technology-driven economy is doing me well.  You can learn more about my professional side in the Work Section.
Just because I work in the Technology Sector, I have a working LAN in my house, run Linux on one of my home PC's, and I have a personal web page, you still don't believe I am a geek?  Okay hold on to your seat.  Ready?  I have an Amateur Radio License!  That's right.  Impressed aren't you?!  See I knew I would remove all shadows of doubt from your mind!  Check out the Amateur Radio Section to see what all I do with the hobby.
