My Yaesu FT-100/ATAS-100

The Yaesu FT-100 is a very compact transceiver, that give you receive capabilities from 100kHZ- 950MHz. Transmit is on the Ham bands of 1.8, 3.5, 7, 10.1, 14, 18, 21, 24, 28, 50, 144, and 432 MHz. Power output is 100w on HF, 50 on 2M, and 25w on 432.

The ATAS-100 antenna works GREAT with the radio, and provides for automatic band change at the touch of a button.

Here is my install in my 1995 Chevy Blazer. I found a plastic housing that fits over the console. It also has a speaker built in and a mic clip to hold the mic. Notice the key paddle for CW mobile.

The ATAS-100 antenna works great with the Ft-100. It offers all of the Ham bands from 7.0MHz - 50Mhz, and 2M and 432. I presently use a mag mount 5/8 wave on the roof for 2M.

Here is my install on my Blazer.

Here is a close up of the mount. I used some old RG-8U braid for my strap, and made sure it was well coated with Clear enamel after I installed it.
