Here's a summary of my current mobile set up...
This is kind of blurry but it's only temporary as this set-up will be changing shortly...
Pardon my filthy truck!!!!

This is K9DRX-14 !!!

At the top, mounted on the dash is my Garmin eTrex Vista GPS which is wired into the Kenwood TM-D700A  for APRS.  I also use the D700A for crossband repeating when I am on foot or camping.  The mobile APRS is outstanding on this rig because I can send & receive messages AND track stations on a map all without a computer on board!    The radio is installed at the bottom of the center console..

In the middle is a Uniden BC780 Multi-System trunk tracker scanner.  Programmed for the areas of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan that I frequently travel in.

The BC780 uses a Comet M24B dual band magnet mount antenna.  I trimmed the length to match 154/450/860 MHz for scanning.  Great performer on the usually picky 800 MHz.  The Kenwood currently has a Diamond Dual-Band fold down antenna corner mounted in the pick-up bed.   Don't remember the model number off hand!

This will be changing around as I have some new antennas and mounts to install as well as the addition of my recently repaired Yaesu FT-857 and the scanner will be swapped out for a P25 Digital capable model.
