After some upgrades to both my equipment and to Splitech Internet  Solutions servers, I have returned the Sheboygan County Live Scanner back to said servers with unlimited connection capacity!  Also....  **NEW**  I have launched the Ozaukee County Live Scanner which feeds the Ozaukee County, WI trunked radio system live as well!  Both of these feeds can be reached on the Live Scanner page or at www.wifirefeeds.com. Enjoy!!

Hey all..  The Sheboygan County Live Scanner is still running however the URL will be changing frequently and you must access it by visiting this home page and clicking the Live Scanner Link on the left.  I had to do this because a couple of outside web masters were using a direct URL to stream the feed on their sites without permission.  I also was having continued issues with pushing the feed to a server so I have set my own now and it is running excellent so far.

Happy 2008!   Some brief updates since I have a little time today.  Deleted a bunch of dead scanner links and also axed some advertising blocks.  I'm working on a new non-frames layout I'll try to get on here soon.   Sheboygan County Live Scanner is still running smoothly other than an occasional server link drop which can be expected.  If it is down, check back soon because someone usually lets me know and I restart the stream.  Congratulations to the GREEN BAY PACKERS !!!!

I made some updates and corrections to the web page today.  Sorry I have not updated much as I have been very busy and out of town on weekends for the most part this summer.  I have corrected the Sheboygan County Live Scanner network issues and that page has been put back to normal as well.  I've also updated and added some Sheboygan area weather and storm spotting URL's in the Weather section to the left so please check that out.  I'll hopefully do some more work on this in the coming months.  I have a new layout I want to use but just no time.

****NOTICE TO LIVE SCANNER FEED LISTENERS****
The URL for the Sheboygan County Live Scanner has changed.  You must update your media player links by visiting the live page here or at www.wifirefeeds.com and re-opening the feed to your browser or player.  The feed has been moved to a new server provided by

Splitech Internet  Solutions thus increasing the number of connections and eliminating frequent chances of network errors caused by trouble on my end.    Splitech offers some nice deals on hosting if wish to have your feed or other live broadcast available to the world.  Thanks and enjoy!

Doing some tinkering and updating today.  Updated Wisconsin Incident Alert URL for new Google Groups home.  Screw Yahoo groups.  They are continuously having problems delivering messages in a timely manner so we changed it to Google which so far has been 100% reliable.  I'll also edit/delete some of the links not working and probably also fix the Propagation Tools if I get time.

I'll be making some changes this month in the web page structure.  Also will be adding some info. and files regarding the new Uniden BCD996T Multi-trunking P25 Digital scanner.  This scanner is king of the hill now!  Also will be adding a section on my northwoods cabin QTH where I do plenty of radio things as well.  Looking to get a live Marinette County scanner feed going as well so stay tuned!

06/21/06
>>> FYI >>> The  Sheboygan County Live Scanner will be off line for a few days for some shack maintenance.  Please look for it to be back up this weekend at the latest, maybe sooner.  Sorry for any inconvenience!

Had a chance on Sunday 6/18 to get a decent look at a very powerful thunderstorm cell that moved though northern Sheboygan County.  Plenty of rotation however no funnels ever dropped down.  Take a look at the photos of the storm.  Very breathtaking display of clouds!   I also updated my 6-Meter grids worked map since the other one dated back to 2004.  Enjoy those summer band conditions and hope to hear you on 50 MHz!!

Happy May!  I did some work on the APRS & Packet Page  tonight.  Not sure if this is how I am going to leave it or not.  I had some inquiries about Web Page design recently.  If you or your organization is interested in having a web page similar to this one or of any different design, please E-mail me and we could work out a deal.  I would be happy to design a page for you at a reasonable cost.  Keep in mind you must have server space which most Internet Providers give you these days with your account.

Today I went through the Scanner Links and Ham Radio Links to do some updating of dead links and also added several new links.  I added a listing of local Fire & Law Enforcement web pages to my Scanner Links section and added a few more local links in the Ham Radio Links area.  Those of you that had links here prior that you don't see now, please contact me to get them back because I deleted any non-working links.  Also, please E-mail me if there is a link you would like added.  I did some other misc. cleaning around the site and also please check back often for my live weather station which will be coming on-line shortly.   73!

Ok, now Charter was messing with my IP again and the scanner was offline of course while I wasn't around AGAIN.  As of Midnight April 1, it is working 100%.  I will make a habit of checking more often to make sure.  Networking sucks...

03/22/06
I apologize to those of you who have been having problems getting access to the live scanner feed.  I have been having some network issues where the router keeps re-setting and changing local IP Addresses on the network which screws up the port forwarding.  I try to check on it as often as possible and it seems to do it when I'm not home of course.  Again, sorry if this has been an inconvenience.  I will have to research further to possibly remedy this.  Happy March in Wisconsin!!  YUCK!  :-)

02/10/06
Ahhh, February in Wisconsin!  Plenty of time to hide indoors and do stupid stuff like work on your web page!  Ok, I've got the scanner and antenna set-up going that I have been planning all along for the Sheboygan County Live Scanner I'm now running a Uniden BC780 with ARC software for audio AND video feed!  The scanner is also hooked into the outside antenna network so reception for the entire lakeshore area is outstanding.  Enjoy and check back for more updates!!

01/29/06
Today I added the list of Wisconsin Area Live Scanner Audio Feeds to my Scanner Links page.  Please let me know of you have any trouble with these and also E-Mail me if you have a scanner feed you would like posted or if you know of any other one's for Wisconsin or bordering counties in adjacent states.  Thanks and enjoy!!

I took a little time to clean up the pages a bit tonight.  The unused navigation links have been removed and things are laid out just a little differently.  Still fiddling with web design and getting used to it!  Look around and see what I've played with.  I Also added the preliminary APRS & Packet Page design and a link to my WebShots Photo Album

01/17/06
I made some additions and upgrades to the site today.  First of all I would like to thank Carl - KA9WYK for directing me to IRFANVIEW; some very nice freeware for viewing and editing photos.  I was easily able to scale down some of my rather large digital images so they load quicker on the web.  The  Sheboygan County Live Scanner is running smoothly and is in some beta-testing yet but seems ok.  Check out My Home Shack section for some new photos and changes to that section.  I also added a brief info page about My Mobile Set-Up and added some local Wisconsin distributors to the Ham Radio Links

Hello everyone, Happy 2006!  I have an audio only Sheboygan County area scanning feed up and running again.  So far, so good.  The feed is Sheboygan Co. Trunked radio audio, Manitowoc County and City fire repeaters, Calumet Co. fire, Fond du lac Co. fire, Ozaukee Co. fire paging, regional medical helicopters, and various mutual aid stuff from around the area.  Any law enforcement tactical or drug operations on the TRS are NOT broadcast to protect officer safety and confidentiality.   Listen Here:  Sheboygan County Live Scanner   I will be making some upgrades and updates to the web site shortly also.  So please check back for new stuff.   I would also like to thank everyone who expressed their sympathy to the passing of my father recently.  Thank you to the Sheboygan Falls Fire Dept. for the kind gift.

Well, after several weeks of troubleshooting the online scanner project, I've decided to take it down for public use and it will be available only on a private server to specific persons I wish to allow in.  Someone thought it was really "neat" to get in and crash the feed daily while you thought I was at work.  Must be nice to have that kind of time on your hands.  Glad I was so important to you that you took some time out of your day every afternoon for me.  Anyway, have fun trying to find it now.  Personally I could give a fuck really because I don't need to provide a public feed.  Just thought it would be nice and I'm sorry it has to be this way but one loser always ruins it for everyone.

I FINALLY had some time to do some work in the shack here.   I've got the Sheboygan County Live Scanner up and running now.  Please be advised that due to bandwidth considerations, I have to limit the number of connections.  So if you are trying to listen and don't get on, it's more than likely at it's limit.  Feel free to check that out.  I'll also be uploading photos of my shack and mobile shack later this week so stick around for that.  Thanks for stopping by!

Now they want to start drilling up the Arctic for more  damn oil.  I notice a common pattern here..  Bush, Oil, Money... Keep raising the gas prices!  Go ahead!  Maybe we'll get those electric cars on the road yet.   You can't solve your oil crisis by hacking up the Arctic which won't give you any oil for 10 years anyway!  Please help to stop this nonsense --> Click here to save the Arctic Wildlife.

Greetings Everyone.  Sorry that I haven't made any updates to the page in quite a while.  I've been very tied up with family issues as well as some medical concerns of my own.  Hopefully things will settle down a bit and I can get solid focus back on my daily life.  I'm going to start a section on my page of my photos with hopefully some organization to it.  I have a decent digital camera to snap some images with and I'm having some fun learning about all that.  So look for that in the near future.  Other than that, thanks for checking and THINK SPRING!!!

12/25/04
Happy Holidays to Everyone!  It's super cold here for this time of year.  Been below zero all week at night and wind chills have been rough.  Now they are calling for 40's and rain by mid week.  That's typical Wisconsin weather for ya!  Congratulations to the GREEN BAY PACKERS as they beat the Purple Girls up in the tunnel Friday for yet another NFC North Division Championship!!   I made some minor Web Page updates tonight.  Some graphic details page-wide, updated the
Scanner Links page ,and I'm still debating on what to do on the Weather pages.  I added a link to MASA (Milwaukee Area SKYWARN) and WFRV News.  Check back often!!

It looks like Winter has settled in here with some pretty bitter cold temps and some brisk North West winds. A little blowing snow but nothing really.  Now I hope it's winter and stays winter until April.  No more of this 45° in January crap anymore.  Keep those lakes frozen and them snowmobile trails open!  NO RAIN!!   As far as the Web Page, I opened up the
GeoCaching page tonight.  Some Great insight into the outdoor hobby and some links to getting your own GPS Equipment  & software at great prices.  I also added a convenient Google Seach box in the main navigation frame to search the web.  Google is the search engine KING.  Thanks for stopping by!

12/18/04
Ahhh!!  The weekend is finally here!  I've been impressed with the rare winter Es openings on 6 lately.  Can't complain but you really have to have an ear open 24 hours a day to catch these openings.  They seem to be short lived but any opening is better than none at all!  I managed to bag a couple new states last week. Anyway, on to the web page...  I added a Hit Counter and some Google search items.  Also added a starting page for the
Operating Activities section.  It only shows some of my grid maps but I'll be doing more with that in the near future.  I made the Ham Radio Links  section a bit easier to read by request and I agree totally, it needed it.  Thanks for the tip!

12/17/04
After some hair pulling tonight, I managed to get a few updates done that I wanted.  Check out the
Propagation Tools link in the Amateur Radio category.  I set up a console to shuffle through various propagation forecasting tools and DX spots.  Should come in handy for my own personal use during 6 meter activity if nothing else.  Please E-Mail me if there's a DX tool you think would be a good addition.  I made a few other technical changes that nobody probably would even notice if I don't mention it so I won't.  Just some details I learned how to fix tonight.  Also added a Google Search engine banner to the bottom of this page so please make use of that to search the web.  Thanks!!

12/16/04
Had some time to complete the
Ham Radio Links portion of the page tonight.  Also put in the interactive Wisconsin Weather  Data & Info console from IWIN.  This is very cool for up to the minute NWS data.   I'll be adding a ton of Weather & SKYWARN stuff later this week.  If you would like a link to your page added, please E-Mail me and I will add them to the page.  Also, please add www.qsl.net/k9drx to your links section if you could.  Much appreciated.  Goodnight!

Did a few more quick page additions before work today.  Things are coming along slowly but surely.  Pages Added:  WI Incident Alert,
Ham Radio Links,  Local Forecast.  More to come soon!

12/14/04
Well, Here it is!!  I finally started working on the new web page.  Getting used to Web Design and file management has been a bit of a learning process but I'm finally getting the hang of it.  I have the basics set up now and just got started on a couple of the pages.  I will be adding more every day and hopefully get that on-line scanner audio up soon.  Feel free to take a look around.  Pages Added:
K9DRX Home, Who is K9DRX

This RingSurf Amateur Radio Net Ring
