analyzer. A great piece of
equipment designed for
rugged environmental conditions
and easy mobility. The 491
Spectrum Analyzer is a
solid-state portable unit that's
both dependable and easy to use.
Covers the 10MHz to 12.5GHz range
as received. With optional
adapters (not
included),
this can be extended to 40Ghz.
Features
internal phase lock, calibrated
dispersion and coupled
resolution.

Although I have checked
out this analyzer for basic
functionality, it has never been
thoroughly checked for either
accuracy or calibration.
To
the best of my knowledge this
unit functions correctly with the
exception of the "On/Off" switch.
The switch seems to be locked in
the "On" position which makes it
necessary to unplug the unit to
turn it off. I believe this is a
mechanical alignment problem that
can be easily fixed however I'm
not inclined to mess with it at
this point. The unit itself is in
fair to good condition, about a 7
on a scale of 10. There are light
scratches and signs of use but no
major blemishes. As can be seen
in one of the photos, one small
rubber bumper is missing from the
front
cover.
