On Sunday October 27, 2002 just days before Halloween the doors will open at 8:00 am to the public. Don't miss this opportunity to reach the public or find bargains on new and used Ham radios, computers, coax, antennas, and a host of other items too long to list here, in a comfortable indoor environment. Find that rare radio part you've been hunting for. New hams find great deals on ham gear! Clear out your excess inventory! Time to upgrade? Sell off that older gear and buy new! The swap is easy to access within 1 mile of I-696. It will be held at the Italian American Cultural Center located near 12 Mile Rd. and Hoover 28111 Imperial Drive in Warren, Michigan. Click here for more maps. Vendor set up starts at 6:00 AM.
From I-696 exit 24 (Hoover) go north 1 mile to 12 mile rd. Turn east (right) and proceed about 1/4 mile...just past the hospital, and on your right is Imperial Dr., turn south (right) and follow that down to the end. There you will see the Italian American Cultural Center.
Raffle Prize:
Take advantage of the many seminars that will be running during the swap. The food offered at our swap is much better than the run of the mill hot-dog you find at most swaps. We have a menu with a choice and there is room to sit down. Browse through the swap area, then relax, take a break, and socialize in our concession area with some refreshment or food. If you want to test for your first Ham license or upgrade your current ticket, you can take advantage of the W5YI VE sessions beginning at 9:00 am in our Testing room. There is plenty of free "close in" parking available for the public, and our vendors will appreciate the convenient priority parking and the loading/unloading areas. Doors open at 12:01 am for vendor setup, there will be free coffee and doughnuts to ease the set up pressure. Where else could you go that offers as much as we offer? For Hams, the "Talk in" will be on the USECA repeater 147.180 + 100 Hz PL. USECA is Michigan's largest and most active radio club! |
