I've tasted a lot of chili recipes and this is one of my favorites.
It's easy to make and it tastes almost like the chili made at
Frisch's Big Boy Restaurant, one of our local family restaurants.
- 1 lb. ground beef (chuck)
- 1 15 oz. can light red kidney beans
- 1 10 oz. can tomato soup
- 1 10 oz. soup can of water
- 1 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp. dry minced onion
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- ½ tsp. salt
In a saucepan, brown crumbled beef and onion. Drain off grease.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 2 hours, stirring often.
