Here are some pictures:
A couple of LEO weather
sat pictures:
Meteor 3-5 reflection
This is a really poor picture but is kind of neat because you can see
the sun reflecting off the water in the center of the pic.
NOAA infrared temp picture
Because the NOAA birds take both visible light and infrared spectrum
pictures, it is possible to colorize a picture according to the temp. This
picture has a whole in the pass (at the bottom, duh), it was taken in the
fall and you will notice that the water bodies stand out because at the
time the water was warmer than the land. That's why the fall is the best
time to go water skiing, warm water but no people because the air is cold.
The image at the right is the visible light image, which is meaningless
in the color mode.
Some GOES WEFAX pictures:
GOES-9 pictures (this bird is over the pacific)
GOES9a.jpg (you can plainly see the cyclonic
tropical storm closing in on Mexico)
GOES9c.jpg (a different view later as it makes
landfall)
GOES9f.jpg (whole disk view of storm)
GOES9h.jpg (one more picture of the storm)
A GOES-8 picture (notice the difference in the view versus the GOES9f.jpg
file)
