The Yuma Amateur Radio Club meets monthly, on the first Tuesday of each month, in the Foothills area of Yuma, Arizona. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM, but most attendees arrive earlier for the refreshments and camaraderie of fellow hams. The meetings are held at the Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church at 11273 E. 40th Street near the Yuma East development. The clubhouse is on the south side of 40th Street just a few blocks east of Fortuna Blvd. Some meetings include a technical presentation. If you are new to the area, click on the link below for a map. Whether you are a veteran ham, a new ham with a technician license, or just interested in amateur radio, please join us. The Yuma Amateur Radio Club meets year round, but at the Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church at 11273 E. 40th Street only for the months of October-April. For the other five months, the club meets at other locations. Contact one of the club officers for information about the meeting location through the summer months.Map to Yuma Amateur Radio Club MeetingIn addition to the regular monthly meetings, many members of the Yuma Amateur Radio Club get together for breakfast on Saturday mornings (about 7:00 AM) at various Yuma area restaurants, such as the Mad Greek Restaurant (1725 S. 3rd Ave) and in the Foothills at Mi Fajita at 11375 S. Foothills Blvd. |
