Digital Repeater  

5 PM, 2nd Wednesday of the month. The meeting location is the BEARS library building next to the Shack, in the South West corner of the Kent Space Center. See (Upper left on Map).

  To promote use of digital operating modes. To maintain the BEARS Tiger Mountain Digital Repeater, and enhance digital radio communication networking in the Puget Sound area.

 

 

 

The committee maintains a 9600 baud UHF digital regenerating repeater on Tiger Mountain to provide a wide coverage network connection to supplement the current simplex connections. Connection into the Amateur Packet Radio Network (AMPRNET). which is an amateur radio extension of the Internet, will be provided in the future. There are some pictures on the Digital Repeater page. Frequency and tone information is available from the Digital Control Operators.
