CALL SIGN K7KCS SINCE 1959
After High School and into my 3rd year at College I ran out of money and entered the Naval Flight Training program. I ended up in Hawaii for a couple of years. I put in for a call sign change and got KH6GIZ. I bought a Drake R4A and T4A. I got a cheap Gotham beam up about 30'. Being in Hawaii was good because you were considered almost DX by a lot of operators. I wasn't on the ground enough to really enjoy it.
