The Western DX Association consists of a specialized group of Amateurs
with a narrow focus on "DX'ING"...The reaching out, contacting and talking with Radio Amateurs' in other countries.
There is a joy in this for me, as I know it is for all DX'ERS. It is the reason that I labour to write this page.

The Western DX Association is a non-commercial association of persons
interested in Amateur Radio, organized for the promotion of and interest
in Amateur Radio's long distance (DX) communication, and the
experimentation and education in the art of antenna construction,
propagation, and operating techniques to achieve this interest.

The Western DX Association is a relatively new association. It was
founded in May of 1997 by N6XD, William T. Allen, Jr. in Oxnard,
California. The association's callsign is K6YD.

Nets are held on certain frequencies and days to invite amateur stations
from outside the U.S.A. to check in our nets and work our members for a
new country. We may at times make a list of stations for the DX to work.
The net control will always be referred to by callsign K6YD.

There is an annual donation of $12.00 asked from each member
to the Association to cover operating costs.
