Trip to VY2TT
Prince Edward Island
October 2006
In October, 2006, I traveled to the VY2TT superstation on Prince Edward Island to operate in the CQ Worldwide SSB DX contest.  Bob, AA6PW, and I arrived on a red eye flight from Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 25th.  We joined Ken (K6LA), Skip (KJ6Y), Jay (WX0B), and Sharon (N5CK), who had arrived earlier.  We helped with antenna and station maintenance during the days leading up to the contest, and then operated the contest in shifts.  This was the first time I’ve worked a contest from the east coast, and I had a great time.  We made about 5.3k QSOs in the contest, and I also worked several hundred more stations as VY2/K6NR.  My thanks to Ken for letting me come operate his great station.
