Below are the logos for a few of the Amateur Radio organizations, with which I have been affiliated.

Click on the links to find out more information about each of these fine organizations.

The American Radio Relay League, better known as the ARRL, is a membership service organization headquartered at 225 Main St, Newington, CT 06111, USA, and serves the over 600,000 Amateur Radio operators, enthusiasts, experimenters and hobbyists in the United States, its territories and possessions. ARRL is a member society of the International Amateur Radio Union. The American Radio Relay League is the principal representative of the Amateur Radio Services, serving members by protecting and enhancing spectrum access and providing a national resource to the public. I have been a member of the ARRL since I first earned my ticket and have been one of the ARRL’s Volunteer Examiners for about three years. This is one way I can give something back to our great hobby while helping introduce new people to the fun of Amateur Radio! Check out their link to find out everything you ever wanted to know about what is happening in amateur radio.

The Montgomery Amateur Radio Club is located in Montgomery, Alabama and provides many volunteer services to the local community. They provide numerous VHF and UHF repeaters for use by local amateur radio operators or those traveling through the area. They also host the Annual Montgomery Area Hamfest, held each year in November. This is a great bunch of folks who are very active in the community. I have many fond memories of working special events, Field Day, and the Hamfest with all of these folks. There are some photos of some of our special events located at their link. Check it out!

The Darley Amateur Radio Club is an Anglo/American Radio Club, based near Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, serving the needs of local hams and providing support for local charities with emergency radio communications. They are a thriving Club with many activities, including contesting on HF, VHF & UHF, satellite operations (including 1 voice and 1 packet contacts with the MIR space station). Packet and DX cluster operations are also available from the shack. If you check out their link, you can see photos of their very nice club hamshack. This was the club which helped me get started in Amateur Radio and pass my 20 wpm CW test! Thanks again, guys!

The American Radio Relay League agrees to encourage its volunteer Field Organization appointees, especially the Amateur Radio Emergency Service, to contact and cooperate with Regional Weather Service Headquarters for the purpose of establishing organized SKYWARN networks with radio amateurs serving as communicators and spotters. In Central Alabama, we have plenty of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and hurricanes to keep us busy and this group did a great job of helping out whenever severe weather hit our area.
