I am an amateur radio operator based in quaint, historic San Bruno, California. That's grid square CM87.

CLUB AFFILIATIONS

San Bruno Civil Defense Radio Club

Northern California Chaverim (of which I am president for the year 2000)

EQUIPMENT

I operate various HF and 2m base and mobile radios from Icom, Kenwood, and Yaesu. For HF/6m base operations, I use a Cushcraft R-6000 6m-20m vertical antenna with a chimney mount. For 2m base operations, there's a 2-meter J-pole on the roof.

FREQUENCIES

I typically monitor the 145.23- repeater (pl 100Hz) while in the Bay Area.

CONTACT

Reach me on the repeater above, or via email at [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] -- go ahead, use any of them, they're all redirected to the same place.

CALIFORNIA AMATEUR LICENSE FORM

It's often hard to find the California DMV's Form 17A, which amateurs must use to apply for a call-sign license place. The form is not on the DMV's Web site, but you can download it right from here in Adobe's PDF format. The form should be mailed to CA DMV, PO Box 932345, Sacramento, CA 94232-3450.
