The Alamogordo Amateur
Radio Club (AARC) meets at 8:00am on the first Saturday of the month for breakfast at the Golden
Corral. Interested hams are invited to join this informal meal and rag

Club Christmas Dinner

Each year the club gets
together for Christmas. The food is always delicious and the Christmas
spirit is warm and wonderful.
Amateur radio and good food just seem to
go together.

Tarantula Motorcross

Each year the Alamogordo
Amateur Radio Club assists the local motorcycle club by providing needed
communication for their races.

There is the Mile High
Enduro high up in the Sacramento mountains and the Tarantula which is a
tortuous 100 mile run through the hot red sands in southern Otero county.

2010 160M Contest
|

This was for the CQ WW
160M SSB party. The event this year took place in Boles Acres, near one
of the member's home.

a vertical antenna built by KE5ZGI and N5JDT for this event.

There was a Joke about
a memo going around to wear pink, so some of the members showed up in
pink shirts. The guys got in touch with their "feminine" side.
