27 January 1998 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 18:28 CST. A quorum was present.
1. E-mail problems with the TI/Raytheon network separation caused bounced mail.
2. Jeanne will send e-mail to those who paid her tonight.
3. 911 Codes are available from the DARC web page
1. Finance: Not available.
2. VE/Training: None.
3. ATV: Controller broke. Troy, Bill Werner, and Bill Morrison repaired and will replace soon.
4. Repeater: Plan to change codes in March.
5. QSL Manager: No report
6. Technical Committee: Need 40 Meter beam installed. Feedline problems persist.
7. Membership: No report.
8. Newsletter: No report
9. Communications: No report.
1. Web site still in transistion to Jeanne's computer. There is still the problem of maintaining a site available to all club members.
2. Cancel plans for adding sideband filters to 940. The 940 does not support another set of filters.
3. Vice president Troy future status unclear with the sale of his group to Tri-quint.
1. General discussion of expanding membership. Discussed possibility of transmitter hunts, contests, awards, DXing etc.
The meeting was adjourned at 19:20pm CST. The next meeting will be held on 24 February, 1998 at 6:00pm CST in the FRN conference room across from the club shack.
