Our Classic Cars

Cindy and I are classic car nuts. Here are some pictures of the cars we currently own:

Dean's 1972 Ford Mustang convertible:

History: We bought it in 1988 from its second owner. We used it as our "weekend fun car" until 1990, when a change in employment made it necessary for Cindy to drive it as her go-to-work car for about a year. We bought her a new car in the spring of '91 and restored the Mustang for show-only in 1991-1992.
Engine: 302-2v Ram Air, original block and heads, rebuilt in 1990, cylinders 0.020" over, crank 0.010"/0.010" under
Trans: C4 Cruise-O-Matic
Axle: 3.00:1 open end
Color: Ivy Glow (an optional extra-cost color)
Interior: white with gray ComfortWeave inserts
Options: Every possible option except tilt steering and delayed-sweep wipers, and I have the parts to add those options when time permits.
Bragging: Over 75 show awards including 3 Best Paint, 2 Best Interior, and 1 Best Convertible; color feature in 09/97 Mustang Monthly Magazine

Cindy's 1971 Chevy Corvette convertible:

History: We bought it in 2001. Cindy had wanted a shark-body 'Vette ever since we were in high school. We are restoring it a little at a time and enjoying it as we go. Even in its not-really-finished condition, it's already winning trophies!
Engine: 454-4v LS-5, original VIN-matching block and heads, rebuilt in 2003, cylinders 0.020" over, crank 0.020"/0.020" under
Trans: TH-400 automatic
Axle: 3.36:1, Positraction
Color: Porsche Guards Red (original color was Brands Hatch Green)
Interior: Dark Saddle
Options: Power steering, brakes, and windows; AM/FM stereo radio; luggage rack; soft and hard tops.
Bragging: It's red, it's fast, and a chick owns it!

In addition to those, we have also owned a '66 Mustang Sprint 200 hardtop, a '69 Shelby GT-350 fastback, and a mild-custom '95 Mustang GT convertible (which was featured in Mustang Illustrated magazine, March '97), a 2002 Mustang GT coupe, and we currently own a 2005 Mustang Mach 1 (yes, you read that right: 2005!).
