The Wellington Radio Club is pleased to offer members
and the amateur community the use of our VHF/UHF repeaters
to make worldwide radio-to-internet-to-radio contacts.

Thanks to the ongoing efforts of the IRLP Committee,
Jerry N3HVC, Dick WB2NBU,  Paul KG4GOQ and John WB4MOZ,
we can easily speak handheld-to-handheld with exotic locations
like Maui, Antartica or Australia without QRM
or expensive equipment.

The potential of this mode during normal times
as well as emergencies is enormous.
It is "hardened"... it runs 100% underground and battery backed.
It connects directly to a telephone central office less than a mile away with NO slicks or intervening devices in its signal path!
This system offers high reliability and great flexibility of use.
