I'm just getting this site going and I'll be adding links, pictures, frequencies, and anything else Ham Radio related that I can come up with. I don't want to build a site that's a complete rehash of every other Amateur Operator's sites on the internet, so I'll be looking for some things that I haven't seen on every other site I've been to as well as things that most other hams have on their pages. That is, as long as their not too overdone. Mine will probably be overdone when I'm through with it! I'll probably have a lot of the same links as everyone else when I'm through, but hopefully I'll come up with some that you won't find just anywhere.
I first got into radio communications when my dad gave me a Radio Shack Navaho TRC-30A citizens band base unit for Christmas when I was 13. I've had numerous CBs, both base and mobile, over the years. I think my favorite CB base has got to be the Cobra 2000 GTL. I hate that I got rid of that one. I always wanted to get into amateur radio but for one reason or another I just never got around to it. I got my Technician in 1996, upgraded to General in 2003 and just upgraded to Extra.
I am a VE with W5YI and hope that we can spark an interest in Amateur Radio and have more new operators.
