My Hobbies and Interests

My current interests are Amateur (Ham) Radio, computers, Visual Basic, and electronic design. My favorite Ham bands are 6 and 2 meters SSB. I have 6 PC's in the household (from a 800 MHz. Athlon to a 5x86-133 system) and can always be depended upon to have my nose in a PC or a radio. The current Ham rigs are an Icom IC-736, Kenwood TR-751A, Alinco DR-130T, Radio Shack HTX-202, Yaesu FT-470, Midland 13-509, KPC3, and PK232MBX. I also enjoy repairing transistorized Ham gear and have an Icom IC-245 on the bench to refurbish. I am in the process of building a new "Ham Shack" in a "bonus" room over the garage. The project is now in the second year and is getting closer to a finish date! Two towers, a Rohn 25G, for a tri-band'er and 6 meter beam, and a Rohn 20G, for the satellite array, still await setup. I also enjoy programming microcontrollers (PIC 16Cxx family) and program development in Visual Basic 6.
