Can you see our antenna? I doubt it, but it's up there on top of the right back tower of the Talmadge Memorial Bridge accross the Savannah River.
Kinda hard to see even if your standing on the roadway of the bridge.
This repeater consists of an ICOM repeater installed inside the tower and linked to the 'Ringo' antenna up top.
This repeater hosts a CAT1000 controller with full patch functions, digitized speech for announcements, and of course its all running on emergency power.
The Talmadge Memorial Bridge is 72' wide with a main span of 1100 ft. The total length is 2,037 ft, and provides a waterway clearance of 185'. I'm still trying to find out how tall the suport columns are so we'll have an idea of where our antenna is.
