HQ129x + Home brew 807 Transmitter August 1959-December 1959

Transmitter replaced by Globe Chief 90A Dec 1959

Receiver replaced with RCA AR88 in Mid 1960

AR88 replaced by Hallicrafters SX 100 Dec 1960

A Heath VF1 was also added

In 1962 a Johnson Viking II was added

Station remained the same until I returned from USAF in 1969

Bought Lafayette HA410 in 1969 and got on 10

The HA410 was a neat little rig. Used a 2e26 in the final for 10W out. Receiver was totally independent from the transmitter. Had no BFO so I would use the spot switch and tune receiver slightly to get a tone. Worked great. keyed TR relay for CW. Rig was 149 from Lafayette and had built in 115vac and 12vdc Power supplies built in. AM was still big on 10.

Put SX100 back on in 1971 along with Viking II and Heath SB 10

A Lafayette VFO was also added plus a Linear using 2 4E27A 250 watts in

Viking II was used for CW

In 1989 I purchased an old Tempo One

Replaced it in 1993 with an Icom 735

Which I still Use as a backup

120’ Zepp fed with 450 Ladder Line
