SK April, 17. 2021 We recently learned of the Oct 26, 2018 passing of Wes Boxwell, WA4TSC. Wes and his spouse Kathleen became members of Chuck was a long time member of RVRN. We learned of his passing on the QRZ Website. His obituary can be found HERE or by sentering his callsign on the QRZ.com website. Hal Cummings - KJ4TD Net# 3 SK September 12, 2022 Hal was one of 10 founding fathers of the RV Radio Network. He was the newsletter editor of the San Antonio Good Sam Chapter that spawned the RV Radio Network and he became the first editor of the Good Sam RV Radio Network when it was formed, holding that position until fall of 2010. He was also a net control op on our HF nets for many years and was known for aways having a trivia question for net participants. Until recently Hal was a frequent check-in on the RVRN EchoLink Net. His XYL Betty, KE4NXF, became a SK in September of 2020. Here is his obituary

Net# 936 SK October 26. 2018 We recently learned of the Oct 26, 2018 passing of Wes and his spouse Kathleen were long time members having joined the Good Sam RV Radio Network in spring of 1998 and remained active mumbers through 2014. We learned of his passing on the QRZ Website. His obituary can be found HERE or by searching for his callsign on the QRZ.com website.Net# 170 SK June 14, 2022 Dave became an RVRN member in late 1987 as K8ESO. He and his wife Charlotte (N5TKY) were active RVRN members and RVing snowbirds for many years. Dave passed peacefully at his home in Inglis, FL under Hospice care. He is survived by his XYL of 68 years Charlotte, son Mark and his brother Dan (RVRN Member Number 1214). His ashes will be interred at a local military cemetery.

Amateur radio licensees and candidates will have to provide the FCC with an email address on applications, effective sometime in mid-2021. If no email address is included, the FCC may dismiss the application as defective.......... Revocation of the station license or suspension of the operator license may result when correspondence from the FCC is returned as undeliverable because the grantee failed to provide the correct email address." The ARRL website updated its security software on October 15 in order to meet standards required to continue accepting credit cards for internet purchases. ARRL Information Technology Department Manager Mike Keane, K1MK, said that the upgrade should not affect the vast majority of members, beyond a guarantee of better security on the website.
