The GAARC is made up of amateur radio operators from Gaston County, North Carolina, and several several surrounding counties of North Carolina and South Carolina.

The Gastonia Area Amateur Radio Club meets the 1st Thursday of each month at the fellowship building at the Lowell Presbyterian Church in Lowell, North Carolina, at 7:00pm.
 

The GAARC supports the 146.805 repeater on Crowder's Mountain, located in the western part of Gaston County.
