Here are some projects I've been working on. Most everything I've been developing lately has to do with the PIC series of microcontrollers, by MicroChip. These wonderful devices let relative neophytes to actually realize ideas, not just think them up. I use the 12 and 16 bit microcontrollers by Microchip, and program them with a homebrew chip programmer. For software development I use Microchip's ASM and the C complier by CCS. For schematic editing and PCB board layout, I use the Protel suite of tools. Most of my projects have been developed on a breadboard first, then usually to a perf-board for refinement. I have plans to make foil layouts for PCB etching as soon as I can. Please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions, improvements, or just ideas about foxhunting and/or PICs. |
