Membership

Membership in the Voice of America Amateur Radio Club is restricted to employees, retirees and former employees of the Voice of America (VOA), the United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM), the United States Information Agency (USIA), the United States Department of State (DOS) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Meetings

Club meetings are held the first non-federal-holiday Monday of each month at 11:45 am in the club shack, located in the VOA headquarters building at 330 Independence Avenue SW in Washington.

Visitors are welcome, but please let us know in advance that you will be attending by sending an E-mail to [email protected].

Net

The club manages the Federal Employee's Net which meets every Monday at 1130 local time on the K3VOA VHF repeater described below. If the UHF repeater is off the air for any reason, the net convenes on the VHF repeater.  The net is open to and welcomes all Amateur Radio operators. One does not need to be a federal employee to participate.  Please join us on the air!

NOTE:  The repeaters now require PL for access!!

2 Meters: 147.045 MHz, with standard input of 147.645 MHz. PL tone is 77.0 Hz.

440 MHz: 448.575 MHz, with standard input of 443.575 MHz. PL tone is 77.0 Hz.
