Amateur Radio Military Recreation Station
aboard the Naval Air Station at Patuxent River, Maryland

Hello and welcome to the web presence for K3NAL, the military recreation station at Patuxent River, Maryland - courtesy of Al Waller, K3TKJ of  www.qsl.net who has graciously provided free server space for our organization.

We are an active, non-profit group of individual amateur radio operators who are working to ensure that amateur radio and Navy MARS remains a viable presence here at Patuxent River.  We are working hard to keep the ham station on-the-air and participating in a variety of operating events.  This station is located aboard a United States Government military reservation located on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, about 60 miles south of Washington, D.C.  The grid square is FM18.  Click [ here ] for more information about NAS Patuxent River.

In that regard, we are interested in your participation. Now we realize that you may not have much time to devote to this organization due to your many other commitments but we still would love to have you help us out to support the advancement of amateur radio aboard an active military reservation.  If you are a current Department of Defense civilian employee, member of the military or a government contractor supporting Patuxent River and have on-base privileges, you are eligible to have unescorted access to the facilities.  Go [ here ] for detailed information and an application form to request access to the station facilities.  Your contribution is valuable to us. We need YOUR input and suggestions to help guide us as we work to keep these stations on the air.  YOU can make a difference - please consider helping us!
