General Electric Space Sciences Cafeteria, King of Prussia, PA

Meeting opened at 1955 hours with Bill Winter K3JPB presiding.

Repeater groups present were...

Les Voyageurs Amateur Radio Operators Club
and
Main Line VHF Association.

At 2021 hours a vote was taken to merge the two clubs into one association to be known as
"The Philadelphia Area Repeater Association".

Directors chosen were:

Northwest: W3CQC and K3BKM

Northeast: K3IHA and K3ZPH

Southwest: W3SML and WA3OPT

Southeast: K2QIJ and W2BHK

Sears utility shed was approved for Valley Forge Mountain

to house the 146.940 WR3ABI repeater.

NOVEMBER 18, 1973

K3DSM donated a repeater package on 443.900 MHz.

DECEMBER 3, 1973

PARA Oficially Incorporated.

146.760 MHz WR3AEL repeater moved to W3PHL Valley Forge location.

146.940 MHz WR3ABI repeater moved to K3ECV Paoli location.

443.900 MHz WR3ACG repeater on from W3PHL Valley Forge location.

JANUARY 14, 1979

The 146.880 MHz repeater package was replaced with a new

Spectrum SCR-1000 repeater courtesy of KA3BHL. The callsign

of the repeater was changed to KA3BHL/R.

NOVEMBER 21, 1979

PARAvision on the air as a beacon on 421.250 MHz.
