Welcome to my Web site!

As a youngster, I was fascinated with electrical components - batteries, wires, switches, bells, small electric motors, buzzers and lights.  I would spend hours assembling these parts in different configurations. That was in 1953 just a year after my brother was born.

With my dad leading the charge, we graduated to the best Lionel train setup I had ever seen outside of what you see at Christmas time in fire houses around Baltimore.  The setup was vast.  At least it seemed that way; everything is bigger when you're younger and shorter.  My specialty was the switches, but then I graduated to lights, a turning white and green airport beacon, white smoke puffing, crossing gates with flashing lights and signal bell across the road, and automatic loading and unloading freight cars.
