The Horses - a little introduction. . .
The past couple years have seen many changes in our little corner of the world.
We've experienced the loss of 2 of our faithful companions, and the addition of
a new one. Morzel, our beautiful Arabian, finally succumbed to the ravages of
cancer on July 16, 2001. He died with dignity, and rests in his favorite field. Blue,
our newest addition, passed away June 23, 2002 from complications of Colic. His
loss is especially hard, since only days before we'd brought our new daughter home.
In the face of this, we decided to do a couple things! We've opened our barn to
a boarder, who's worked out VERY well! Flyer is kinda like part of the family, and
he's been great to have around. AND - being as nuts as we tend to be, have taken
ANOTHER baby into our lives! Woody (full name Kenwood - isn't that GREAT?!?) is
now 9 months old, and really testing our knowledge of Veterinary medicine and
debt management! He's a Thoroughbred / Trakhener mix - anticipated to be about
17h or greater at full size! Incredible mover, should be quite the beast for Erin-Leigh
to learn on!
