Due to forecasted severe weather, SKYWARN will be activated statewide and spotters will be reporting pertinent weather data to the various NWS forecast centers.  ARES does not want to inject fictitious weather messages among the real SKYWARN traffic.  We wish that all the planning and work that went into preparing for this SET will make us more aware of what has to be thought of ahead of time in order to face a real emergency.  From the simple matters of charging up the batteries for the rigs to the more complex chores of planning phone trees and frequency plans that will work for the majority of those participating are all part of the plan on being ready to serve during an emergency.
