Day 6

First thing I check out the tire. Overnight its lost about half the pressure . Usable but I’ve got a problem and have to make a decision. Its Sunday. No place to repair. In Van Horn, even on Monday no one could help with a scooter tire. I’ve got to get to El Paso. Well I figure I made it 28 miles with one can. Its 100 miles to El Paso. If I can buy four cans, I can make it. You do the math. Should work, right? I found a Texaco that had two cans. Well that’ll get me started. I can get more on the way. Well heck fire, didn’t get 15 miles and fishtail again. Put the second can in. I make it to Sierra Blanca to a service station. This guy has got some green stuff called SLIME. Manufactured by Access Marketing, Grover Beach, Ca. (www.slimesealant.com). I’m here to tell you this stuff works. We put it in as per directions and added air. A little green came out from where the puncture was and then it was sealed. I made it all the way to El Paso. No problem.
