Calling the Windham County Weather Net. Calling the Windham County Weather Net for mm/dd.

This is <your call>. My name is <your name>, located in <your location> and I will be net control for this session of the Windham County Weather Net.

This net is held every Wednesday at 8 P.M. and we welcome all hams with or without weather observations to check in.

When checking in please use the following format: "this is", unkey, then come back with your callsign, first name and location.

You will be recognized in rotation with priority going to mobile units and those on battery power first.

You do not need weather instrumentation to be a valuable part of this Net. When severe weather occurs your eyes and ears often serve as the best instruments.

Please note that the word "Skywarn" will only be used to identify the net when a National Weather Service activation has been requested or authorized.

Before we continue, are there any stations needing the frequency for emergency or priority traffic only? Please check in now.

When providing your weather observations please use the following format: first your current temperature, sky condition, followed by wind speed and direction. Then indicate any precipitation, followed by your current barometric pressure.

Finally you may pass any miscellaneous information you feel may be have interest such as high and low temperature of the day, relative humidity, dew point, rainfall (or snowfall in winter) totals for the month.
