Interested in gigahertz amateur frequencies?
Besides playing with APRS, packet, 6 meters, and your usual 2m repeater stuff,
I've been fascinated with modes above 999.999 MHz. 1.2 GHz operations, which are
greater than scarce in the central US, as well as 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz stuff I do
at work, represent a foundation for lots of interesting projects.
Latest Projects
Mar 27, 2001 - Passed my General theory and code - yea! That frees up a chunk of time (soon to be taken by apple trees). Time to catch up on projects for a bit.
Mar 20, 2001 - Added a Motorola Syntor and another Mitrek to the collection today. Now I need to do the mods to get them into duty - looks like a couple of nice APRS radios, a couple of packet radios, and a 75 watt home 2 meter radio are soon to be!
Mar 3, 2001 - I managed to break AX.25 again. Either I'm the world's greatest beta tester, or this stuff is beyond fragile. It'll be good to handle the troubleshooting in the AX.25 docs. Also, faster links are definitely in demand since pings with 45,000 ms just aren't cool. Managed to update my personal stuff this weekend too on the site, not that it matters to anyone else. Early spring cleaning?
