KØYB

The objectives of this organization are to improve the state of the radio art and wireless communications technology and to promote the responsible and efficient use of amateur radio with emphasis on the use of frequencies above 50 MHz.....but mostly we're just a bunch of radio amateurs messing around with radios, usually on VHF and usually in the Colorado high country.

Colorado 14er Award

14er award.jpg (303932 bytes)Since we usually operate from the top of Pikes Peak during the Colorado 14er Event, it was no surprise that we received the Summit Award (serial number 003) for working at least 10 14er summits. In our case, the qualifying radio contacts were all on 2 meters using FM. Click on the award picture to see a larger version.
