The Missouri Section of the ARRL has over 2700   members and 49 affiliated clubs.  Plans are
    being made for a Missouri Section Convention in the  Year  2002. Leadership of  
our section is dedicated to serving the interests of Missouri Amateurs.
We need both your support and suggestions so please let us know your thoughts.

HAMFEST UP-DATE

        If you missed the Southside Hamfest in Grandview or the  Halloween  Hamfest in Kirkwood, you missed a couple of fun Hamfests. The folks that organized and hosted the Hamfest did a great job. There was a nice turnout of Hams and Vendors at both events.  Pictures from both hamfest may be seen by using these hyperlinks:

  If you are wondering when the next Hamfest will take place... Think January 2002.   The January Hamfest are spread all over the MO Section.  Springfield 49ers Hamfest January 12, 2002  St Joseph ARC Hamfest Jan 19, 2002 and Winterfest sponsored by the St. Louis Repeater Group Jan 27, 2002

   CORES REGISTRATION

   Tom Hammond, N0SS, of the MidMO ARC recently reminded the membership that as of Dec. 3, 2001, a FCC Registration Number (FRN) will become manditory.  He distributed a paper organized by Steve Devine, KC0BXQ, that I have used to inform the MO Section members about the process.  His paper was much more complete, but this should get you started in the process. 
   If you registered your ULS prior to June 2000, you probably  have already been assigned your (FRN) number.  You can check on this  if you have a Netscape Browser at http://www.fcc.gov/wtb/uls
      Once the page is loaded, click on TIN/CALLSIGN. After that  page loads,  click  on "Update Registration Information" and click  Continue.  At the next&n
