NCKRC Meeting

Thursday November 8, 2001
Courthouse meeting room
Begin gathering at 7:00 p.m. or so for the meeting to begin no earlier than 7:30 p.m. The
Cloud County Courthouse is located just south of the downtown are and the meeting
room is located in the basement of the courthouse.

Minutes of the NCKRC Minutes
Thursday October 11, 2001
  The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. by President Eric NOZBV, with 14
members and guests present.
Communications:  none
The minutes were approved as they appeared in the newsletter and the Treasurer’s report
was also approved as read by Trea. Marilyn, KAOUAR.
Committee reports: Pres. Eric NOZBV reported on the Boy Scout Jamboore that was
held at the weather station building at the airport park in Concordia Saturday October 20,
2001. Wendell WOTQ helped with this jamboore on the air. Eric reports that all had a
great time.
Old Business: WOTQ Wendell stood up and officially apologized he may have offended at
the last meeting. He named several people who have given their time, materials, money to
help make repairs to the club repeater and for the work everyone has done over the years
to keep our club going. He wanted to thank everyone who has given, and given and
given..... Wendell’s own words were” The Father of Bad Ideas”.He said he would resign if
the club wanted him to, It was moved and seconed that we would not accept his
resignation. We appreciate your apologe Wendell and realize that like the rest of us, you
too are human!
He recounted the time his own repeater was destroyed by vandals and brought the
paperwork showing names and donations by different people to help get it back up and
going again,,,,
New Business: Wendell, WOTQ reported that he has inherited the most unbelievable
assortmment of equipment which he will let any club member come over and take anything
they can use. Just talk to Wendell if you are in need of this equipment, it will be stored in
his little workshop. Thanks Wendell.
  Jon Puckett KCOBZO inquired about a new list of members, their call signs, addresses,
phone numbers and e-mail addresses....Marilyn KAOUAR is working on one.
We need to remind everyone to come to club meeting this week, we need to elect new
officers and board members. We will vote on a new President, Vice President  and
Secratery as well as 3 board members.
  Also we need to remind everyone to please pay their October 2001-2002 club dues. Our
bank account is down as you can see from the Treas. report and if you don’t remember if
you are paid up or not, just ask Marilyn our club Treasurer, she will be glad to look it up...
thanks.

The program next month will be our club elections.
Also Jean Frakes has moved to North Carolina,,,, where her daughter has bought her a
condo. We will try to get her new address and e-mail for future newsletter.

Minutes of the NCKRC Meeting
Thursday September 13, 2001
The meeting was called to order at 7:34 p.m. by Pres. Eric NOZBV, there were 18
members and guests present. The minutes were approved as appeared in the newsletter.

Communications:  none

The treas report was also approved as read.
WOTQ Wendell reports that we will be getting a check for $200 from the Civil Defense
Director.
Committee Reports: WOTQ also reports of a Thank You recieved from Bruce the new
Kansas Amteur of The Year.

Old Business: none

New Business: NOGJ, George asked about our annual fall picnic, it was combined with
Field Day because of poor attendance in the fall.
Glasco Fun Day will be Saturday October 6, 2001. If anyone can come down to help.
please be there by 9:30 a.m.
We were also invited by Concordia to have the club van in the fall fest parade Saturday
September 22, 2001. Some discussion followed.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:44 p.m.

KNRC Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m.

Old Business: WOTQ, Wendell thanked Larry NOXGL and Marlin KBORSJ for putting
up the antenna out at the Concordia airport Park. And also to Ed Pick WOBBM for
helping Wendell move the 86.5 repeater to the tower at the Airport Park. Discussion
followed.

WOTQ Wendell made a motion for Larry and Marlin to have lifetime memberships for
their work on getting the repeater moved to the new site. This motion passed uanimously.
( Later after thinking about all of the people who actually helped and do help to keep the
repeater up and going, Wendell, Larry and Marlin and George all decided to retract this
motion . It takes everybody”s work and contribution to keep the Ham Radio Clubs going,
no matter how big or small their jobs may be, we are all needed and appreciated and love
what we do for Ham Radio and our fellow hams. This is a good time for a big Thank You
, to all of our members, you are the reason we have such a great club! ).
Give yourself a pat on the back.
Wendel also wanted to Thank George NOGJ for always being there to help out when we
need repairs, thanks, George. You have a special gift for working on the equipment.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:52 p.m.

  Thursday March 7, 2001
  The meeting was called to order at 7:32 p.m. by Pres. Eric NOZBV with 21 members
present. The minutes were approved as they appeared in the newsletter.

  new business: none
  It was suggested, motion made and approved to have our monthly club coffee at
Christy’s in Concordia, Kansas. This is a cantral location and works well for everyone. It
will be at 10:00 a.m. the last saturday of the month.
  WOTQ, Wendell, asked that the Pres. pick a committee of three to bring in samples of
QSL cards. Disscussion followed. The committee is Larry NOXGL; Jon KCOBZO; and
Carol KCOCWM.
  There being no further business, it was moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting at
7:42 p.m.

  WOTQ reported on a pager problem with the repeater. Wendell will talk to the people
who need to know, and it will be fixed. Thanks Wendell.
  New Business: The power supply quit and George NOGJ had to work on it. He reports
that it is working again.  Thanks so much George, what would we do without you!  :-)
