Petrified Wood with Uranium infusion
After scanning tens of thousands of petrified
wood specimens, one with some radioactive qualities was finally uncovered and it
was a really nice specimen.
Billed as "from the world's oldest tree", it also had
an impressive price. Since the store owner had no idea that any of his stock was
radioactive, indeed said that the entire store "had been scanned by a
professional", he sold the specimen for a much reduced price to "get that thing
out of here".
The radioactive inclusion is white against the
dark background of the Petrified Wood, and does glow under
UV.
Attached is a spectrum scan that
clearly indicated strong lower daughters of the Uranium U-238
series.
