Originally licensed in 1972 and having moved to Illinois from Iowa. Then in 1977 entered the Air Force and went all around the country and world including Germany, Korea, and the Azores Islands along with 2 tours on the Florida Space Coast, San Antonio TX and Oklahoma City OK, complements of Uncle Sam and the United States Air Force, I have finally settled down in retirement and pursuing other vocations in Iowa. I am a member of 10-10 international, Arizona Desert Chapter, YLISSB System (as a system controller on the Moonbeam), OMISS (17 Meter Band Coordinator), SMIRK, QCWA, and hope to be accepted as a member of the Eastern Iowa DX Association.. I frequent 10 meters when its open, operate on all modes now that the Rig Blaster is working, and also several of the many DX nets. Currently I possess the DXCC from my overseas operations along with WAC, and WAS from my US address. I now working on confirming my contacts for DXCC from this side of the pond. If you are in and around the Waterloo and Cedar Falls area, you can find me on the W0MG (146.94) repeater. I am an ARRL VE and help with testing with the local Waterloo IA Club. I am Vice President of Northeast Iowa Radio Amateur Association, and affiliated with the Five Sullivan Brothers Amateur Radio Club (see link below).
