TS-850S to PK-232MBX Wiring

Here is how I have my PK232 and TS-850 Wired.

TS-850S to PK-232MBX Wiring for RTTY and FSK.

1. Use the 5 wire cable that comes with the PK-232.
2. Pin 1 receive Audio => Pin 3 on 13 Pin Din Plug
3. Pin 2 is not used unless you are going to use AFSK - No recomended
4. Pin 3 not used
5. Pin 4 Ground => Pin 8 on 13 pin din plug
6. pin 5 PTT => Pin 13 on 13 Pin Din Plug

That will get you receive audio and PTT.

For Xmit you want to use FSK which is labeled RTTY on the back of the
TS-850S.

You need a cable from J7, the round connector on the back of the
PK-232MBX
using Pin 4 FSK-R as the center and Pin 2 as the shield to a RCA (Phono
connector) Plug this plug then go's into the RTTY Jack on the back of
the TS-850S.

You will now be able to use the FSK on the Mode switch on the TS-850S
and select the CW filter for rtty.
