Announcement 5-2-11
Sorry, but I have been busy for the last few months, and I just got around to updating the web site.

The March get togeather meeting was fun, alot of our members attended.

John KC9JLI Demostrated his solar panel. I was impressed with the amount of amperage it put out.

The President discussed some more proposals of changes to the Constitution and By-Laws.
He will bring this topic up with all members by e-mail and the following net meeting.

KC9JLI, John Kessler, remains Net Control Officer for the 6 meter AM net.

As for a relief for KC9JLI, WBMHU, Bill Schaper, was elected to be the second 1 meter USB Net Control Officer.

The get togeather meeting for last Saturday, December 4, 21 was a good turn out, and a fun group.

The meeting was delayed a bit because the back banquet room was in use, so we had to eat in the main room.
The did get the back room cleared out in time for our meeting.

On the agenda, we voted in 2 new club members.
N4PDP Arthur Calix, and WGEF Gladys Fuqua, Please welcome them to the club.

The President discussed some proposals of changes to the Constitution and By-Laws.

Announcement 11-24-1
The upcoming get togeather meeting for December will be on Saturday, December 4, 21 between 12 PM and 3PM.

The meeting will be held in the back banquet room at the Pondersosa Resturant located in Arnold, MO.
If going south on I-55, get off at Richardson Road, turn left or East, onto Richarson Road, go across the Richardon Bridge over I-55 highway. Richardson Road dead-ins at Jeffco Blvd.
The resturant is on the South West corner of the intersection of Richardson Road and Jeffco Blvd.

We will be electing officers for 211.
I will have a few 6 meter AM radios for loan, with me.

Announcement 1-17-1
At our Net Meeting on 1-17-1, we decided to change the 6 meter round table net times to 7:15PM to 8PM on every Sunday night, except for holiday weekends.

Well I finished Working on the Barnhart repeater tower. I Changed antennas to make room for the new Multi-Band Remote Base Repeater to be installed soon.

I replaced the 6 meter top antenna with a 16 bay DB products UHF antenna array, and connected a new 1/2 inch helix cable.

I Installed a new Side mount DB products, 6 meter dipole, mounted on the 16 bay DB products UHF antenna, and connected a new LMR-400 cable.

I Replaced a UHF businessband side mounted TX antenna, with a new Diamond X51HDN, dual band, 144/440, base antenna to be used with our new 2 meter remote base, and the UHF repeater transmitter.

I installed a new UHF yagi antenna for the 6 meter transmitter UHF link receiver.

I am still working at home on our new 443.725 UHF Barnhart MB-MM Repeater.

I will try to get some of the Barnhart tower and equipment pictures on our web site soon.

We had a good time at the get togeather meeting on Saturday. John, KC9JLI demostrated his home made 65khz cave location transmitter-receiver system. We also have another new members for our club. He was voted in to the club on 9-18-1.

We have lost two members from our club. Bobby "NVH" has decided to not be a member anymore, and Jay "KDDG" says his eyes are getting to bad to operate radios anymore.

We will miss these members, and thank them for their past support.

Announcement 1-1-1
The Barnhart repeater tower and equipment shed is complete.

Their are some minor work still to be done on the 6 meter antenna, and some minor work to be done on the electrical system, but everything is presently functional.

There is a new 6 meter AM transmitter located in Barnhart. It has a carrier output of 1 watts and swings to 18 watts on modulation peaks.

Announcement 12-19-9
The together meeting last Saturday, December 19, 2009 was a good one. We had 12 members present.
We voted in 2 new club members, Davis Hess KD6LZA, Ann's son, and John Kessler KC9JLI. Welcome them to the club.

We voted in Walter Mills, KDEIB, as our new President for 21. All other officers remain the same for 21.

The club voted to purchase a notebook computer and protective carry case, from Paul Schlipp, K0RWU, to keep all of our club records, and to pass on to each new club Secretary for club use. This information will be recorded in the Club Constitution By-Laws.

The get togeather meeting date has been changed to Saturday, December 19, 2009 between 1PM and 3PM.

Announcement 11-3-9
The club has decided to start holding our new 6 meter AM net at 193 hours (7:3 PM), or right before the beginning of the, 2 hours (8PM), 2 meter net meeting. The 2 meter net is our main club net where we conduct club business and a swap shop. The 6 meter net will be mostly to encourage and promote 6 meter AM activity, and have more fun talking on our old radios. Thanks, Paul

Hi, I am still working on our web site. Please be patient with me. This is tremendous amount of re-arranging of this web site. I am adding all the new repeater details, and pictures, and re-arranging the link switching system, all in an effort to get the links more uniform, as you switch from pages and items.

When I feel I am completely finished up dating our site, I will email everyone, and ask a final time for you to check out our site.

Please take time to check your membership information page for details and mistakes. Make sure your links all work OK. You should be able to smoothly go from your membership listing, to your personal information page, or to your swap shop items, and between any of these pages OK. If you have time, you could also look at the new repeater, tower, antenna information pages.

Anything you find wrong, spelling, punctuation, ect. please email me with the information, to include anything you want to add, or remove. If you have a digital picture of you, or of you at your ham station preferred, it would be nice to add it to your information page, and as well, if you can write up a short Ham Radio Biography History.

ANOUNCEMENT 9-2-8
Hi, everyone, I have completed the Multi-Band Remote Base Repeater System. The system is working great. The antenna systems are temporary, but yet seem to be doing a good job. I hope to have improvements on the antennas this fall to extend the remote base frequency bands, but that may or may not be finished yet this year. I have sent a E-Mail to those with computers with the list of available frequencies, and a snail mail to those without computers. Anyone having trouble operating this new system, please feel free to call me. Also, I hope to get the 6 meter AM transmitter moved to Kirkwood yet this fall. Thanks, Paul KRWU

ANOUNCEMENT 6-19-8
Hi, everyone, I have completed the 6 meter AM repeater system. The UHF is working great. The equipment is finished and is operating on 5.4 AM receive and 5.7 AM transmitt. The antenna system are temporary and not working well. I hope to have improvements soon. All systems are vertical polorized. If you want to work this system, I suggest you put up at least a 1/4 wave ground plane antenna, or operate on the UHF FM portion. I have a ground plane in my attic in arnold, and I can talk with 25 watts. The receive antenna will be somewhat improved very soon, so I expect to get in with less than 5 watts. Hopefully, the transmitter antenna within a month, and The Multiband remote base system sometime in the fall.

ANOUNCEMENT 6-19-8
In an order to encourage club members to use our new 6 meter AM systems, I will be making some 6 meter AM radios, with microphones from the late 5's and early 6's vintage, available on a use as much as you want loan basis. This is for all club members only. These radios will be maintained by me, and your to use as long as you remain a club member, or you no longer need it. You will be responsable for keeping it in good physical condition, and picking it up from and delivering it to me here in Arnold due to the high gas costs. You might want to use one of these radios even if you presently have a 6 meter AM radio. It is lot's of fun talking on these old "Ancient Modulated Radios".

We are starting a new club sponsored "On The Air Net Meeting" which will be held each Sunday evening, at 19: Hours on our 28.35 mhz Remote Base Repeater. I'm not sure I can reach the club repeater from the resturant with a HT. The building is located in a low area. But if so, there will be talk-in on the club repeater.

Also when you are close to the resturant, 146.52 simplex from the HT inside.

You can have Brunch, or just coffee.

This meeting is mostly just a long needed get togeather, but there may be some business issues discussed.

I visited with K0RWW yesterday, and got to view the first new club t-shirt. K0RWW's XYL, Rose, had made up one on a light blue, and a royal blue shirt. We all decided the royal blue looks much better than the light blue.

The treasury report to date. We have $1532.87 as of 3-17-7.

Funds spent in 27, Nothing, but the T-Shirt payment is due this month.

Funds spent in 26. $2. to KCEOC to repay loan.

The following was discussed, decided and voted on.

1. In order to be fair to the total membership, It was decided to do away with the Charter Honorary Club Membership, and that a Charter Member can be dismissed for non-payment of dues. The club is to only have Charter and Regular members. All club members will be required to pay dues, Except for WAZPD, Richard Riley, who would be made dues exzempt for allowing the club to use the his repeater tower.

2. In an effort to maintain our club financially, and as well, keep a happy membership, and relieve any burdens on retired members, it was decided to make the following changes to our club constitution.

To reduce the yearly club dues from $2, to a one time $1 Iniation Fee, and a $1 a year dues per member, at the begining of each following year. Effective 1-1-7. Also, To allow all applicatiants of a Club members family a 5% discount. Iniation dues of $5. and yearly dues of $5. per year per member. Effective 1-1-7.

Note: All members who have paid their $2 dues for 27, will receive a credit applied to their 2008 dues. Anyone not wanting the credit, may apply to the Treasurer for the $1 refund.

The following club members have dropped from membership 1-1-7.

Dismissed members would be allowed to reinstate membership in the future only after paying any past dues accrued. Except for N4EOX, as per KRWU, because of a bad financial experence with this x-member, not becoming of a decent club member.

It was farther decided to allow the members who have not paid dues for 27, untill the end of the year to get their dues paid.

The officers of this club were concered with preserving this club and it's membership. These changes were decided on that basis. We hope the membership feels the same, and can be proud of our club and it's goals.

At our March 11, 27 Net meeting, it was decided to hold our 2nd Quarter get togeather club meeting on March 17, 27 at 1PM, in the SWEET TOMATO RESTURANT, located on the same side of Watson Road, next to the Red Lobster Resturant.

Talk in will be on the club 146.926/444.55 repeater.

All members should attend this meeting. Requirements are that you must at least purchase a soft drink to attend.

On the agenda will be a up to the date treasurer report, as well as a cleaning up of the membership rouster. Some members that haven't paid their dues up to date for 26 and 27 will be dismissed.

At our 12-17-6 Meeting it was decided to not hold a Net Meeting on December 24, or December 31, 2006. Our next Net Meeting will be on January 7, 2007.

At our 12-02-6 Meeting it was decided to have a on-line vote for club officers because of the lack of members present at our meeting..

I will be sending out requests for nominees, and/or votes.

I will be sending out a email, to all members, requesting payment of all back dues, and dues for 2007.

At the "Poor Richards" meeting we nominated KC0TOT, Seth Isaacs to be our President, and KC0EOC, Bob Fach to be Vice-President for 27. I mentioned that I would continue to be Secretary and Treasurer if desired, but I really would like someone else to that these positions.

We did not have any other officers nominated. I would like all members to send me an email with their choices for Officers, including President, after which, I will post selections and you can vote on which ones you want.

I will continue to hold Station Trustee, and Internet Web Officer. If I have to continue as Secretary, I would at least want someone to take minutes and transfer them to me after each meeting so I can post them on our web site.

Next March 11, 26, Saturday, at 12 Noon to Approximately 2PM, Our club is having a special get together meeting at the Ponderosa Restaurant located in Fenton at 100 Delores Drive.

You will be required to pay for the minumin FoodBar meal. Around $6., Seniors over 55 get a 1 percent discount.

The purpose of this meeting will be to elect a new Club Secretary, and a New Club Treasurer. Also, we will be voting on the Constitution changes that have been posted on this web site for some time.

The latest proposed Constitution change is the addition of 4 yearly meetings instead of one. These will be around the second Saturday of the following months, March, June, September, December.

It is required for all members to attend, and if for some reason you can not, please contact me, Paul Schlipp, with your reason and to also give me your proxy vote. We need to get the club business in order. Thanks, Paul

Club Notice Dated 1-22-6
At our January 22 Net Meeting it was mentioned that we should start having more get together meetings, so we are proposing to add an additional amendment to the Constitution, to have up to 4 meetings a year. This change will be included along with the present proposal, so please re-read the proposal.

The President and the Station Trustee have made some Constitution and By-Laws changes. Please read these changes and email Paul  "KRWU"  krwu@sbcglobal.net with your approval or disapproval. If you disagree with an item, please let us know why. If we get any negative email that can't be resolved by email, then the proposals will be brought to a vote at a Net Meeting discussion.

Club Notice Dated 3-19-6
At our 03-19-06 Net Meeting it was decided to purchase some light blue T-shirts for the club members with our club logo, member call and name on them.

The cost for each shirt is $25, and to not burden our treasury to heavy, we decided to charge $5 per member for the shirt. Please send the treasurer, Paul Schlipp, a check made out to "The Ancient Modulators Club" for $5 for your shirt.

I will be sending out a email to all members requesting their shirt size, and name, to put on the shirt.
