The AMARC 6 Meter AM Repeater Filters
The 6 Meter AM Repeater is a split site, 2 antenna system, so two RF filters are needed. One for the Receiver, and one for the Transmitter.
Well, luck was with me , because I found 2 military surplus tunable filters, model F-1482-GRC, at Fair Radio Sales in Lima, OH.
As you can see these filters are extremly well built. The only modification needed was to replace one of the antenna connectors on each filter.
I added some rack panel adapters made from a old 4-1/4" rack panel. They were cut up with a hack saw, ouch.
The filter has a built in 6 or 6Ø Watt, Wattmeter. Just perfect for our system. Even on the receiver, which is a 1Ø watt transciever, the wattmeter is handy to check the receive antenna.
I was extremely impressed with the Helical coils and the tuning gears.
