"The KØAMC 146.925 Mhz Repeater System"
The KØAMC, 146.925 repeater system, is owned and maintained by the station trustee, KØRWU, Paul Schlipp. This repeater is interfaced with a seperate 1Ø and 6 meter FM base stations. The repeater is also interfaced with the internet. This repeater system is located at the Club's High Ridge, MO radio tower.
At the present time this repeater is open to all licensed amateur radio operators. If there is a problem with someone, or the equipment, feel free to call me via telephone about the matter, but not before 1Ø am or after 1Ø pm.
At the present time, control of the remote base operation is limited to only the station trustee. I normally do not leave a remote base turned on. If you hear me on the repeater using a remote base system, feel free to break in and say hi, and join in on the FM DX fun. I have future plans of removing these older remote bases and installing a Yaesu FT-1ØØ multiband radio on one of the new UHF repeaters. The 146.925 repeater is also interfaced with new Echo Link system full time for all to use.
Operation of the 2 meter repeater is about the same as most any other repeater, and everyone is "WELCOME" to use the system. The repeater has CTCSS tone output on 192.8 hz. If you have tone decode, and you want, you can monitor the repeater with CTCSS decode turned on, and block unwanted QRM, or out of town weak signals. The repeater also has CTCSS tone decode reception, During Net Meetings the repeater is switched to carrier squelch.

The Yeasu FTR-241ØA repeater is commercial type excepted, and was manufactured back in the late 8Ø's. It is crystal controlled, and is still a good solid state radio, that "loafs" along at 1Ø watts of RF output. It drives a Mirage/KLM model B-2516-R 1ØØ watt RF amplifier, to bring the system "up to snuff". The amplifier is powered by a Pyramid model PS-52KX 45 amp. power supply. RF Power is set at 8Ø watts output, so both the amplifier and power supply can "loaf" along.
This 2 meter repeater system has only a 15 khz separation between the 146.91 and 146.94 repeaters. Because of this, the repeater receiver has had it's IF filters sharply tuned, and has a sharp roll off at plus or minus 5 khz from the center of 146.325 mhz. If your transmitter modulation limits are above this you may experience distorted audio, and or clipping of your signal. Also, over deviation can interfere with the 91 and 94 repeaters. At the present time the repeater is connected through a Sinclair duplexer, as soon as the antenna system are updated, we will revert back to useing separate receive and transmit antennas. For isolation and filtering, there are 2 Wacom filter cavities inserted in both of the 1/2 inch helix cables. The transmitting antenna is a Diamond model X-2ØØA, with a 6 db gain. It is mounted at the 12Ø foot level. The receiving antenna is a Hustler model G7-15Ø-1, with a 9 db gain, It is mounted at the 14Ø foot level. Both antennas are mounted on the North East side of the tower.
The KØAMC 146.925 Mhz Repeater Remote Base Interface System
This repeater has been interfaced with two 4 channel GE Master-Pro remote base stations. Operation of the remote bases is set up so only one remote frequency or band can be used at a time.

The ten meter remote base has been aligned to 2 simplex frequencies. The default frequency is tuned to 29.6Ø mhz, and the alternate frequency is tuned to 29.5Ø mhz. This radio is capable of 1ØØ watts RF output, but it is presently operating at a reduced power of 2Ø watts, due to RFI to WAØZPD's stereo system. The ten meter antenna system consists of a DB products model DB-212-2, (phased dipoles) and they are mounted at the 4Ø and 6Ø foot levels.
The six meter remote base has also been aligned to 2 simplex frequencies. The default frequency is tuned to 52.525 mhz, and the alternate frequency is tuned to 52.54 mhz. This radio is also capable of 1ØØ watts RF output. The six meter antenna system consists of a DB products model DB-212-1 single element antenna, and it is mounted at the 14Ø foot level. At the present time the six meter remote base is disabled, because of antenna problems. I hope to get these antenna problems resolved soon.
