Meeting Minutes

March 3, 2003

Vice-President Darrell Heick, KCØAPN, called the meeting to order at 7:06 PM.

 

Introductions of members and guests followed.

 

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved on a motion by Emil, NØDK and seconded by Kornard, KBØELT. Motion carried.

 

The treasurer’s report was given by Brandon, KCØEAK. Motion for approval by Cindy Kirshmann, and seconded by Irene, WDØDAW. Motion carried.

 

 

Old Business

 

A.  Repeaters – APRS is down. Otherwise everything is fine. Thank you to Rod Bakke, Laurie’s father, for the donation of a phone for at the hill

           

B.  Emergency Management Cards – Joe, NØQAU, handed out applications for the Stark County Emergency Management cards.  Pictures will be taken at the April skywarn meeting.

 

C.  Tech Class – Our 1 student seems to be doing well.  The testing will be March 22, 2003 if anyone needs to upgrade.

 

D.  Hamfest – Irene, WDØDAW, won the handheld radio pre-registration prize.  Tony, K7TNY, won a stuffed Lilo, from the movie Lilo & Stich.

 

New business

 

 

A.  Skywarn – Skywarn training will be at the April meeting.

 

B.  Dues – Discussed how the dues expiration dates are figured.  A sheet was passed around to see if everyone’s dues were up to date.  A label will probably go on the next newsletter if your dues are expired.
