The Slope County Badlands
Exercises are again on tap for this June and September, lets hope Mother Nature
cooperates this time!
Mark your calendars as our
planned dates are as follows:
Saturday, June 10
A course that will offer practice with GPS units and map reading while testing
radio communications, implementing ICS principles and providing a
familiarization of the terrain of the
Friday & Saturday, September 15,16
The June event will be staged
northwest of Amidon and south of Medora; maps will be sent out to registered
participants prior to June 10. Attached is our tentative schedule.
Note that a sack lunch and a Steak Fry supper is a planned component for all
exercise participants.
Our September scenario will
include a role for all emergency responders to play and the June exercise will
set the stage for September. Please extend this invite to all emergency
responders in your agency. Participants should be made aware that this
event will include both a search by vehicle and on foot; plan to hike a couple
of miles during the day. Dress appropriately for changing weather
conditions, wear proper footwear and bring your portable radios.
Advance registration is
required so we can plan our course and have an accurate meal count.
We are also asking that if any registered participants cannot attend that
they contact our office so we can remove them from the meal
count.

should include participant name, entity they represent and their email address
(or snail mail address if email is not available.)
